S32760 is a high-performance stainless steel alloy. It has extremely high corrosion resistance and excellent adaptability to extreme temperatures. It can maintain good performance in both high and low temperature environments. Compared with ordinary 304 or 316 stainless steel, the production process of S32760 is more complex and contains a higher proportion of nickel, chromium and other chemical compounds, which also increases its cost. S32760 is suitable for offshore platforms, pipelines and deep-sea fields, or some working environments with extremely large temperature variations.
Ultra-High Corrosion Resistance:
PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) ≥ 40 (at typical compositions), far exceeding conventional duplex steels (e.g., 2205 with a PREN of ~34).
Resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC), pitting, and crevice corrosion, its performance approaches that of nickel-based alloys (e.g., 625).
High Mechanical Strength:
The yield strength (≥550 MPa) is twice that of 304 stainless steel, significantly reducing equipment wall thickness and weight.
Excellent Weldability:
Compatible with TIG, MIG, and SAW processes, no post-weld heat treatment is required (heat input must be controlled).
Fatigue and Wear Resistance:
High hardness (HRC 30-32) and good ductility make it suitable for corrosive environments containing solid particles.
