Incoloy Alloy 825 Overview

Corrosion Resistance: Incoloy Alloy 825 is known for its excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in reducing or oxidizing environments. This alloy contains molybdenum, a high melting point metal that is often used to make high-strength alloys and superalloys.

Alloy Composition: In addition to molybdenum, Incoloy Alloy 825 contains elements such as nickel, iron, chromium, copper, and titanium. The carefully balanced combination of these elements gives the alloy excellent corrosion resistance.

Application Areas: Due to its corrosion resistance, Incoloy Alloy 825 is widely used in a variety of applications such as heat exchangers in the chemical industry, pollution control equipment, oil and gas gathering pipelines, acid production, pickling operations, reprocessing of nuclear fuel, and treatment of radioactive waste.

Alloy Characteristics

Nickel: Provides good resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, as well as resistance in reducing environments such as environments containing sulfuric and phosphoric acid.

Molybdenum: Helps resist pitting and crevice corrosion.

Chromium: Provides resistance to oxidizing substances such as nitric acid, nitrates, and oxidizing salts.

Titanium: After heat treatment, it stabilizes the alloy against intergranular corrosion.

Other Advantages

Temperature adaptability: Incoloy Alloy 825 can be used in a range from cryogenic to moderate temperatures.

Processability: Its strength can be significantly increased by cold working, and it maintains good impact strength at room and cryogenic temperatures.

Processing convenience: This alloy can be easily processed and welded by conventional processes, making it easy to use in a variety of end uses.

Processing considerations

In order to maintain the corrosion resistance of Incoloy Alloy 825, the annealing temperature is critical, so it must be processed carefully.

In line with the business philosophy of quality first, integrity first and win-win cooperation, the company continues to innovate and develop, survive by quality, develop by reputation, guarantee cooperation with credit, and benefit customers with service.
