N08825 (commonly known by commercial name Incoloy 825) is a nickel-iron-chromium solid solution strengthened alloy with the addition of molybdenum, copper and titanium. Its core design aims to provide outstanding resistance to general corrosion, local corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, especially in reducing acid environments and complex mixed media. This alloy maintains good mechanical properties and machinability within the temperature range from low to approximately 540℃, and has excellent weldability (commonly using methods such as TIG and MIG). It is recommended to undergo stabilization heat treatment after welding to optimize corrosion resistance.
It is mainly applied in harsh corrosive environments. Typical fields include: chemical processing (sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid production equipment, acid washing and phosphoric acid evaporators); Petroleum and natural gas (downhole components, pipelines, and equipment resistant to sulfide stress corrosion in oil and gas extraction); Marine engineering (seawater cooling systems, pump and valve components) Pollution control (flue gas desulfurization system, waste acid recovery device); Nuclear fuel reprocessing and acidic solution processing equipment. Its comprehensive corrosion resistance, processability and relatively high cost performance make it the preferred material for key structures in strong reducing acids, mixed acids and halogenated media.
The chemical composition:
