Haynes G-35 UNS R06035 is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum-copper alloy designed specifically to withstand the harshest corrosive environments in the modern chemical processing industry, with exceptional performance in sulfuric acid and related media. Its value lies in providing an excellent, cost-effective corrosion resistance solution for high-temperature, high-concentration sulfuric and phosphoric acid environments, as well as those containing impurities (particularly halide ions). It plays an irreplaceable role in critical equipment in the chemical, petrochemical, phosphate chemical, environmental protection (FGD, wastewater treatment), and metallurgical industries.
Excellent sulfuric acid corrosion resistance: This is G-35®'s most prominent advantage. It exhibits corrosion resistance far exceeding that of traditional stainless steel (such as 316L) and many nickel-based alloys (such as C-276, B-2, and B-3) in sulfuric acid at a wide range of concentrations (including moderate to high concentrations) and temperatures (up to the boiling point), as well as in sulfuric acid environments containing impurities (such as chlorides, fluorides, and solid particles).
Excellent phosphoric acid corrosion resistance: It also performs well in phosphoric acid and wet-process phosphoric acid containing impurities.
Resistant to Pitting and Crevice Corrosion: Excellent resistance to localized corrosion in acidic environments containing halogen ions such as chloride and fluoride.
Good Oxidation Resistance: Excellent resistance to oxidation in high-temperature air or sulfur-containing gases.
