304 is a heat-resistant stainless steel with high chromium and nickel content. This material is less susceptible to oxidation, making it more stable at high temperatures. It exhibits excellent high-temperature mechanical properties, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring these properties. It also exhibits good high-temperature oxidation and creep resistance, making it particularly suitable for furnace tubes.
Excellent corrosion resistance: It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in normal atmospheric conditions, fresh water, and many mild chemical media (such as foods, organic chemicals, and dyes). It is resistant to food processing media, steam, mild acids (such as acetic and citric acids), and mild bases.
304 is easily cold-worked, such as deep drawing, bending, and stretching. It is compatible with all standard fusion welding methods, and post-weld heat treatment is generally not required (unless otherwise specified). It exhibits excellent impact toughness at both room and low temperatures.
The material's smooth surface resists staining, making it easy to clean and sterilize, meeting the hygienic requirements of the food and medical industries.
It also exhibits excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance.
