C22 (Hastelloy N06022) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with extremely high corrosion resistance, specially designed to withstand the most demanding corrosive environments. It is widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, petrochemicals, environmental protection (such as sulfur dioxide removal from flue gas and wastewater treatment), pharmaceuticals, nuclear energy, marine engineering, and pulp and paper production.
Widely applicable: It has extremely strong tolerance to both oxidizing and reducing media.
Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion: Performs exceptionally well in chloride-containing environments and has a high pitting resistance equivalent value (PREN).
Resistance to stress corrosion cracking: Exhibits excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance in chloride and sulfide environments.
Strong antioxidant capacity: Can resist strong oxidizing media, such as wet chlorine, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide solution, nitric acid, and nitric acid/hydrofluoric acid mixtures.
Reduced acid resistance: Has excellent resistance to reducing acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid. Local corrosion resistance: Even in the heat affected zone of welding, it can maintain good corrosion resistance and is not prone to "welding knife mark" corrosion phenomena.
